Sat. morning after the Jesup win, I woke up and all I could keep thinking was two things:

how proud I am of our girls ...not just for the win... but for showing so much perseverance and heart. All the toils and troubles are worth it when you sit there and see them so excited and smiling. Priceless, truly. Secondly, winning a game with that much energy and fun and excitement was better than winning every game and not feeling feeling real joy!!!!!

Pack Skills Camp Postponed Again

Hello everyone! Due to the stinkin' weather instead of any great victories like a Championship football game...Pack Skills Camp os postponed. We will let you know when we figure out a date. Also, we will probably get the t shirts out to the girls so they can have them and be able to wear them! Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience. Also thanks for all your support with DNH Girl's BBall!

Next step....Hall of Pride Game

I am just so excited that Sat. is our first "game". It is the Hall of Pride Challenge. JV/V girls play Dunkerton and JV/V boys play Janesville. Games start at 4pm. Bring $2 or a canned good, or a toy and the athletes will get presents or give presents to kids that are in Allen for the holidays. How cool is that!? Please come and cheer us on, it is as expected, and looking to be a very exciting season for the Girls Basketball Program! :)

NEW DATE :: Pack Skills Camp

The new date for The Pack Skills Camp is Sat. Dec. 11th from 8-10am. Please spread the word, I would appreciate it so much. Also, if anyone wants to be added to camp they are welcome we may ask for $3 because they won't get a shirt this late. Thank you.

1st Week of Prac down!

Hello all! Just got back from the football game, how fun was that!? Which leads me into the fact we will be rescheduling Pack Skills Camp so that everyone can get to the game! That is 100% sure but we will let people know in the next couple days.

Practice went well! The girls that were there worked their buns off and apparently have some sore legs to show for it! :) We are so excited for what they have retained and their great attitudes!

After the football game you will have to make it back to the gym for the girls bball vs Dunkerton and the boys bball vs. Janesville!

Above is a link to a page I found about Conscious vs. Subconscious for an article I wrote. I put it on here because I LOVE the mind and how powerful it is, and it is a good article about how we can use our mind better.

Visualizing making a basket doesn't work if in the back of your mind you are thinking all kinds of negetive thoughts like: "I always miss", "everyone is watching", "I'm gonna have to run if I miss this" etc.

It's a lot, but pretty interesting. I believe very very very strongly that if you can control your mind you can find all the success you want and also you can keep away from pain and frustrations that are unnecessary.

Girls remember last year a few times I said for every action there is a reaction. You can't control what someone else does but you can control that reaction.

Hall of Pride Game

Nov. 20th DNH bball is participating in the Hall of Pride Game. This game is an opportunity to do a good deed. :) It is opportunity to play a game with refs and uniforms etc but it does not count for your record! JV/V girls will play Dunkerton starting at 4 tentatively and boys play Janesville after. Girls are thinking about making it a Retro night so that means you have to wear an outfit to represent your past, you pick and get creative maybe we will have a drawing for a massage or something for the winner!! When you come I think the consensus was that we are asking you to bring a toy for a child we will give to Allen Hospital.
