Not bball related but being human related...check out the above link and see how the sugar that you eat in your common drinks and food actually stacks up...literally. Can you feel your teeth starting to fall out! Gross! :)

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is SUCCESS.

I was scrolling through the blog updating some stuff and I ran into our quote we kind of adopted for our team mantra you could say.

All of a sudden I looked at it like this:
Year 1 Coming together is a beginning.
Year 2 Keeping together is progress.
This coming Year Working together is SUCCESS!!

Can't wait to get rolling.

Upcoming things...

There will be a couple more evenings to play some pick up etc before school begins. They are not required just opportunities. We will be holding year 2 of Pack Camp near Thanksgiving. That will be 5th and 6th graders and 7th and 8th graders. I will send out a flier in September.
Basketball begins Nov. 8th. We don't have our first game until after Thanksgiving. What will we do with actually having practices with everyone before our first game...oh yea... win! That's our new thing this year! So bring your friends to games and support our girls.

Bball girls reading this, have a great Fall sports season and start to school. We can't wait to watch you in all your activities.

Summer Basketball is Finito!

Summer basketball '09 is accomplished after another great trip to Chicago. It was hot and in a hurry! So much to do, and so little time. This year we actually got to shop, Transformers the movie was being filmed, a drug dog came in our hotel, and the girls played 10 games in 2 days. Holy buckets! Aside from a couple rough games, there were some great strides taken. These girls are making some major headway in their basketball skills and instincts. Plus we threw in a new defense right before we left that is going to be so yummy!! Thanks for everyone's support and help in getting the team to Chicago...it's such a great opportunity for the girls.
